Filip Reisnecker commits to Steelheads

The Mississauga Steelheads announced Wednesday morning that forward Filip Reisnecker, the team’s first- round selection from the 2018 CHL Import Draft, has committed to the team and entered into a standard player agreement.

Reisnecker, a native of the Czech Republic, spent the 2017-18 season with the EV Regensburg U19 team in the DNL where he recorded 59 points (25 goals, 34 assists) in 28 games. Steelheads’ head coach and general manager, James Richmond is very pleased with the addition of Reisnecker, adding “we are very excited to have Filip join our Steelheads family. Filip brings a speed/skill game that will fit in very nicely with our team. We are extremely happy to have Filip as a part of the Steelheads.”

The Steelheads are excited to welcome Filip and his family to the organization and to the City of Mississauga.

The 2018 preseason gets underway on Friday, August 31 as the Steelheads host the Oshawa Generals for a 7 PM start on Rink #2 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre (former Hershey Centre).
