Future Fish Friday: Jordan Hurtubise

Future Fish Friday is back again! This week we get to know Steelheads prospect Jordan Hurtubise, who was selected in the 10th round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection (188th overall).

JORDAN HURTUBISE

Height: 6.03

Weight: 158

Hurtubise finished his 2015-16 season with the Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Midget AAA where he recorded five assists in 33 games played. He attended school at École secondaire catholique Saint-François-Xavier in which he was heavily involved in their Hockey Canada Skills Academy (HCSA) program. This HCSA program allowed Hurtubise to build on his skills which he put into play during games. Jordan describes his style of play as “a solid, defensively responsible D-man who takes the offensive opportunity when it’s there.” Steelheads assistant general manager, Jan Egert describes Jordan as “a rangy player, with good mobility and a long stick; which are key attributes to being a good defenseman. He does not shy away from physicality; and possesses a good first pass.”
