The Steelheads acquired the 178th pick in the ninth round from the Kitchener Rangers, where they selected New York native Kevin Wall. Kevin is the only American Steelheads’ prospect as he comes from the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 16U, scoring 63 points (34 goals and 29 assists) in 64 regular season games. Kevin describes his style of play as “a power forward, not afraid to go into the corners”. Steelheads general manager, James Boyd describes Wall as “a skilled player with size and a knack for the net. He has the ability to maintain control of the puck in traffic and possesses a quick accurate shot. He is a player that is able to consistently generate scoring chances.”
