Welcome back to Future Fish Friday. Today we feature Steelheads prospect Mason Hardy who was drafted in the seventh round (128th overall) of the OHL Priority Selection.

Mason Hardy played his 2015-16 season with the Minor Midget AAA Waterloo Wolves where he recorded 20 points (4 goals, 16 assists) in 84 games played. When asked to describe his style of play, Mason wrote “a defenceman who takes his opportunities, yet is gritty and physical all over the ice”. Steelheads assistant general manager, Jan Egert, adds “Mason is a tough defenceman that takes pride in taking care of his own end first. He likes to keep the play in front of him, and understands the importance of not forcing plays up ice. He has good mobility and a strong outlet pass.”
