From Pickering, Ont., left-handed defenceman Matthew Altomare tallied three goals and 13 assists for 16 points in 33 games played in the ETAMMHL. The offensive-minded defenceman would add seven assists in eight playoff games for the Raiders as well as one goal during the OHL Cup.

Beginning hockey at the age of three, hockey has always been a big part of the Altomare family. Throughout the years, Altomare believes he has developed into a very mobile defenceman. When describing his style of play, he says, “I can make good heads up plays off the rush and generate lots of offence. I can use my edges very well and slip around big opponents to make plays. I can be counted on in big game situations to get the job done!”
