Steelheads acquire Ryan McLeod

Mississauga, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to announce the acquisition of the 2015 Priority Selection 3rd overall pick, Ryan McLeod, from the Flint Firebirds.

Ryan, the younger brother of Steelheads Michael McLeod, recorded 81 points in 74 games for the Toronto Marlboros Minor Midget team in 2014-15. Ryan captured OHL Cup MVP Honours while leading the Marlboros to their second consecutive OHL Cup Championship.

“Ryan McLeod is one of the elite players in his age category in the province of Ontario. His speed and smarts will allow him to be an immediate contributor with our hockey club” said Head Coach & General Manager James Boyd.

The Steelheads are pleased to welcome another member of the McLeod family to the organization.
