Steelheads trade Jason Smith to Barrie

The Mississauga Steelheads announced today that they have trade forward, Jason Smith to the Barrie Colts in exchange for a seventh-round selection in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.

Smith, a native of Brampton, Ontario, was selected by the Mississauga Steelheads in the eighth round (144th overall) at the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. In parts of three seasons with Mississauga, Smith has registered 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) and 72 penalty minutes in 145 regular season games.

The Mississauga Steelheads would like to thank Jason for his contributions to the team and the community during his time as member of the Steelheads. We wish him success in Barrie and in all of his future hockey endeavours.
