Traveling Trout: June Recap
June brought another busy month for the Steelheads and events around Mississauga!
Starting off the month, the Steelheads attended the Forest Avenue Fun Fair on Friday, June 2nd at Forest Avenue Public School in Port Credit. An annual event for the last 30 years, it was a night full of fun activities for the community and fundraising for the school. Sauga was also on-site offering pictures and playing in the Steelheads’ inflatable hockey shooting gallery.
Events kept coming the following weekend, where the Steelheads participated in the Bread and Honey Festival from June 3-4th. Located in Streetsville, the Steelheads’ booth was joined by live music, activity booths and snack and food vendors.
On June 13th, the Steelheads hosted their own event at Lionhead Golf Club for the Annual Steelheads Golf Classic where Steelheads personnel and fans had the chance to team up for a round of golf. More information can be found here.
Next up was the Mississauga Waterfront Festival at Port Credit Memorial Park during Father’s Day weekend. From June 17-18th, the Steelheads offered their shooting gallery for fans and families as part of the festival.
The month of events concluded with a pair of end-of-the-year school events. Castlebridge Public School was Sauga’s first stop, where the Steelheads joined the school for their end of year play day on June 21st. Last stop was at Clarkson Co-operative Nursery Carnival, where Sauga once again provided photo opportunities as well as joined in on the fun for rides and other activities.
