Pre-Season Schedule Updates

MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads have announced further details for their upcoming exhibition games.

Over the Labour Day weekend, the team will play back-to-back games against the Guelph Storm. On Friday September 2 at 7:00 PM, the Trout will play host to the Storm at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. Both teams will then head to the Sleeman Centre for a 7:00 PM tilt on Saturday September 3. 

On Friday September 23, the Steelheads will return to Guelph for their next exhibition game at 7:30 PM before heading to Kitchener to play the Rangers on Saturday September 24 at 4:00 PM.  

To finish off their exhibition schedule, on Sunday, September 25 at 2:00 PM., the team will be playing host to the Kitchener Rangers at the Alder Recreation Centre in Orangeville. This event marks the return of OHL hockey to the Orangeville area. Admission to the game will be $5.00 per ticket and made possible thanks to the support of the following partners; Jerry Gould REMAX and The Plumbing Expert Mechanical Services. In-game events to look forward to including a Tim Horton’s mini-game with Orangeville Minor Hockey players, Chuck-A-Puck and a post-game autograph signing with Steelheads players. In advance of Thanksgiving, Orangeville Minor Hockey will collecting non-perishable food items for The Orangeville Food Bank to support families in the community.

Can’t think of a better way to get our season started!”

Town of Orangeville Mayor, Sandy Brown expressed support for the event, “As a lifelong hockey fan, I am thrilled to hear that OHL hockey will be visiting Orangeville.   The Mississauga Steelheads and Kitchener Rangers play at a very high level – with many of these young men ending up playing professionally.Many thanks to Michelle Bridges, Rick Stevens and the Board of Orangeville Minor Hockey for arranging this exciting exhibition game!”
