Preview – Looking to Bounce Back

Mississauga, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads are set to take on the Guelph Storm on Wednesday, November 27th at 11:00 AM in their annual School Day Game. The team will travel to Oshawa on Thursday, before finishing up the week with a Sunday afternoon game in Sudbury.

The Steelheads are coming off their 8th Annual Pink at the Rink game, in which Nic Canade was able to fundraise $16,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Autographed, game worn jerseys from the game are currently available for auction, with all of the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

NOVEMBER 27 vs. GUE (11:00 AM)
The Guelph Storm (13-4-1-3) currently sit in a tie with the London Knights for first place in the Midwest Division and have been amongst the top teams in the league in November, with a 9-0-0-1 record in their last 10 games. The Storm are led by forwards Pavel Gogolev, who has registered 36 points (13G, 23A) in 21 games, and Cam Hillis, who has registered 33 points (8G, 25A) in 21 games.

MATCHUP
The Steelheads and Storm faced off twice during the 2018-19 regular season, splitting the season series at one.

This will be the final meeting between the teams during the 2019-20 season, as they matched up back on October 27th at the Sleeman Centre, where Guelph was able to take it by a score of 4-0.

Wednesdays game will mark the first time Ty Collins will have played against his former team.

NOVEMBER 28 at OSH (7:05 PM)
The Oshawa Generals (16-6-0-1) currently sit third in the East Division and are coming off a 7-0 loss to the Sudbury Wolves. The Generals are led by NHL Draft eligible forwards Ty Tullio, who has recorded 22 points (10G, 12A) in 23 games, and Oliver Suni, who has recorded 21 points (7G, 14A) in 22 games.

The Steelheads and Generals have matched up twice during the 2019-20 season, with the Generals taking both meetings.

The Sudbury Wolves (14-11-1-0) currently sit second in the Eastern Conference but are coming off a 7-0 loss to the Oshawa Generals. The Wolves are led by 2020 NHL Draft eligible prospect Quinton Byfield, who has been one of the top players in the Canadian Hockey League this season with 46 points (17G, 29A) in 26 games played.

MATCHUP
It will be the third meeting between the Steelheads and Wolves this season, with the Wolves taking the first two games.
