Steelheads Add Three New Prospects in OHL Under 18 Selection

MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Steelheads added three new prospects in the OHL’s Under 18 Selection on Wednesday night. Mississauga had the 6th, 26th, and 45th overall picks in the draft.
With their first selection, the Steelheads drafted defenceman Jaedon Holloway. The 2006-born blueliner spent the past season with the U18 Toronto Nationals and tallied 7 points (1G, 6A) in 29 games. The 6’1”, 180lb defender hails from Georgetown, Ontario.
In the second round, Mississauga selected their third goaltender this year in Nate Galbraith. In 18 games played with the U18 Brockville Braves, the netminder posted a 3.29 goals against average and a 0.929 save percentage.
At 45th overall, the Steelheads picked centreman Julian Demiglio from the U18 Toronto Marlboros. The Concord, ON native put up 29 points (16G, 13A) in 36 regular season games with his team.
“We are excited about our three U18 players,” said Steelheads Head Coach and General Manager, James Richmond. “Holloway is a big strong shutdown defenceman and is very tough to play against. Galbraith is a strong goalie that competes and gives his team a chance to win every game. And Demiglio led his Marlies U18 team in scoring and has a high end compete level.”
Congratulations to Jaedon, Nate, Julian and their families and welcome to the Mississauga Steelheads Organization!
