Steelheads’ Brand commits to Toronto Metropolitan University

Toronto Metropolitan University’s men’s hockey program has announced that Mississauga Steelheads overager Evan Brand has committed for the 2022-23 season.
Drafted in the second round (29th overall) in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection by the Kingston Frontenacs, Brand spent three seasons with the Frontenacs before playing his final year in Mississauga. The six-foot-six, 205 lbs defenceman recorded 18 points scoring five goals and 13 assists (5-13-18) in 210 games over his OHL tenure. The OHL did not play any games in 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Toronto, Ont. native will return to his hometown this coming fall.
