Mississauga, ON – With the 15th overall selection in the 2020 CHL Import Draft, Mississauga Steelheads General Manager, James Richmond added Danish defenceman, Kasper Larsen. Larsen will join fellow import rearguard Ole Bjorgvik Holm on the Steelheads blueline.
“We are excited to welcome Kasper Larsen to the Steelheads,” says Richmond. “Kasper is a big strong defenceman from Denmark that will fit in very nicely on our backend. We look forward to working with Kasper in his NHL draft year.”
Last season, the 6’6″, 231 lb Larsen skated in 23 league games with Rodovre Mighty Bulls; playing in Denmark’s Metal Ligaen. He registered 4 assists as a 17 year-old defenceman playing among men.
As a late-birth ’02, Larsen is eligible for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The Rodovre, Denmark-native will look to improve his draft stock while wearing the blue and white next season.
