MISSISSAUGA, ON – Steelheads General Manager and Head Coach, James Richmond announced Thursday that 2020 seventh round pick, Dylan Gordon has signed a Standard Player Agreement with the hockey club.
Gordon had this to say about the signing “I’m thrilled and honoured to have the privilege to play for the Mississauga Steelheads! I look forward to growing as a player and as a person under such a great organization, while making a huge impact to my team on the ice, and to community of Mississauga off the ice!”
The Troy, Michigan native was originally selected by the Mississauga Steelheads in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection in the seventh round at 127th overall. In the 2019-20 season, prior to being drafted, Gordon recorded 55 points (14 goals, 41 assists) in 60 games with Detroit Honeybaked 15U. Most recently the 5’9”, 166-pound defenceman suited up for the Detroit Honeybaked 16U in the 2020-21 season and registered 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists) in 35 games.
